Nursery rhymes in this book have been selected from previously published two books by the author, I Love Mummy and other New Nursery Rhymes & When I Grow Up and Other New Nursery Rhymes, published in 1993. Some rhymes are also from the author’s new collection. Simple and cute, these rhymes are endearments of a mother’s love for her child. When first written, many of the themes were suggested by the author’s then six-year-old son.

Anita Nahal started her own publishing house, Vikrant Publications in New Delhi, India, in the early 2000's. The vision of the publication house was to publish and promote books by, of, and for children. Above two were the books produced by the publishing house prior to its closing.
